there's a game for you, whatever your level
Bowls is one of the few sports which is truly inclusive – players can be any age, any gender and any level of physical ability.
try bowls for the first time
If you’re keen to try bowls for the first time you’ve come to the right place! We can arrange for one of our experienced members to meet you at the club, get you organised with a set of bowls to borrow, and show you some of the basics of the game.
No need to sign up for membership or commit, just give it a go! If you’d prefer to come down with a friend or partner we can arrange that for both of you.
play community bowls
Community Bowls (also known as “Corporate” or “Barefoot” bowls) is an organised competition held every Tuesday night from early November through until Easter, with a break over Christmas.
No experience is needed and bowls are supplied. The goal is to have fun while playing games in competition. Teams of four enjoy a sausage sizzle before the games begin and many teams dress to a theme.
Our Community Bowls fills fast with most teams returning every season. If you’d like to join in or find out more, contact us now.

play socially
Sorrento offers a wide variety of social games throughout the year. These competitions still include scoring and prizes for winners, but the focus is on enjoying the game.
Recreational Bowls on Friday and Sunday afternoons are played in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with drawn teams for a game of fours. New bowlers are welcome to play with Recreational Membership.
Our other Recreational competitions are a mix of drawn and nominated events and open to any Recreational or Full members.
Details of each competition can be viewed by hovering over the calendar or clicking on the event to open the flyer.
play pennants
Sorrento is one of the largest and most vibrant pennant clubs in Perth, fielding teams ranging from Premier Division through to 5th Division in Women’s Tuesday and Saturday competitions, Men’s Thursday competition, and Open Gender Saturday competition.
If you love bowls and are looking to improve your game further, then pennant competition is the next step.
Club coaches are available at no charge to Full Members wishing to develop their game.
